About Visitor Break Palma

Visitor Break Palma is a hyperlocal city guide for people who want Palma as a city base — walkable streets, neighbourhood food, harbour swims and island day trips — not resort fluff or brochure hype.

We write practical guides you can use on the ground: where to wander, how to get around, what to check before you go. The tone is warm and clear. The bar is accuracy.

What we are trying to do

Palma is a Mediterranean capital with a Gothic cathedral on the water, a compact Casc Antic, working neighbourhoods and easy links into Mallorca. Too many visitor pages treat it as a transfer lounge for the resorts. We treat it as home base.

That means:

  • City-first guides — Casc Antic walks, neighbourhoods, markets, harbour life, day trips that start from Palma
  • Practical over promotional — airport, buses, heat, walking; point you to official sources when details change
  • Local place names — Catalan forms where they are everyday (La Seu, Banys Àrabs, Mercat de l’Olivar), with a short gloss when it helps

This site is Visitor Break’s guide to Palma. If the approach works here, the same idea may grow to other cities. For now, the focus is Palma done properly.

Accuracy first

When something needs a live check — tickets, bus routes, museum hours — we point you to official sources such as Aena, EMT Palma and TIB.

If a guide is incomplete or a detail goes stale, we would rather leave a clear note than pad the page with guesswork.

Affiliates (when they appear)

Some pages may include booking or experience links. If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never buys a ranking or a fake review.
